BITS was originally known as the Bangkok International Typographic Symposium when it began in 2010 at the auditorium of Alliance Française Bangkok. This event aimed to bring together design professionals and enthusiasts to explore the art of typography and its significance in design.&nbsp;In 2023, the name was changed to the Brand Identity and Typography Symposium to better reflect the evolving nature of the design industry. This rebranding was intended to foster a stronger connection between branding, typography, and type design, welcoming a broader segment of the design community.&nbsp;Today, BITS serves as an influential platform that not only highlights the critical role of typography in brand identity but also encourages collaboration and innovation among designers across the region.&nbsp;BITS 11th edition&nbsp;The symposium facilitates connections that foster collaboration and business opportunities while promoting diversity and inclusivity among designers, particularly those who work with non-Latin scripts. The 11th edition of BITS aims to strengthen ties between Southeast Asia and the global design community, enhancing industry relationships and encouraging international dialogue.&nbsp;Designing with LettersWhere we explore the synergy between typography and branding to craft powerful visual identities. Echoing the concept of Bangkok Design Week 2025, which focuses on the transformative potential of combining elements to yield greater outcomes, our theme demonstrates how integrating strategic typography with effective branding results in impactful designs. Discover how letters serve as design's building blocks, enhancing brand narratives and communication.&nbsp;

All workshops will be held at the Thailand Creative Design Center (TCDC).<ul><li>Workshop No.1—Designing While Writing by Jinda Nuangjumnong &nbsp;</li><li>Workshop No.2—Hangeul Lettering by Dohee Lee &nbsp;</li><li>Workshop No.3—Get Your Fonts Ready for Retail by Guido Ferreyra &nbsp;</li><li>Workshop No.4—Font Making 101 by Glyphs (Georg Seifert &amp; Rainer Erich Scheichelbauer)</li></ul>&nbsp;*Workshop No.1 Designing While Writing to be conducted in Thai. Interest in the design or typographic field is highly encouraged for this workshop. **Attendees of Workshop No.3 Get Your Fonts Ready for Retail and No.4 Font Making 101 are required to bring a MacBook with Glyphs software preinstalled.&nbsp;Once the payment is completed, you will receive a QR Code via email.&nbsp; Please bring the QR Code for the check-in registration to receive a name tag.
