Wee Viraporn is graphic designer and educator. He received a master degree in Typo/Graphic Studies from London College of Communication in 2004 before founding Conscious, a visual communication design studio based in Bangkok. His fascination with type is shown through his studio’s wide variety of work, from book design, large scale Post-it murals, environmental graphic design to interactive installation. He has been teaching typography as a visiting lecturer at Faculty of Fine and Applied Art, Chulalongkorn University since 2015.

Since 2020, he has been observing the youth protest movement in Thailand, focusing on the use of artistic expression and typography in activism and political campaigns. In 2022 he published “Mob Type : An Archive of The People’s Fight Through typography”, the first Thai typography book in many years. The expanded bilingual edition (English & Korean) of the book will be released by the end of 2023.
